👪 Meet My Family

Après la grande révision, on plonge dans l'Unité 1 : la famille élargie, les adjectifs possessifs (my/your/his/her), this/these, et comment dire "le frère de Karim" en anglais.

🎬 Let's Imagine...

Step 2

🔤 My, Your, His, Her

These little words tell us who something belongs to.

🙋

my

"My mother is a teacher." (talking about yourself)

🫵

your

"Is that your brother?" (talking to someone)

👦

his

"Karim loves his uncle." (about a boy/man)

👧

her

"Yara loves her grandmother." (about a girl/woman)

This Is... / These Are...

One person

  • "This is my brother."

More than one

  • "These are my cousins."

🎮 Complete The Rule!

Fill in my / your / his for each sentence, then check your answers.

🙋 (You, about yourself) "___ sister is Nour."
🫵 (Ask Karim) "Is that ___ father?"
👦 (About Karim) "Karim loves ___ grandmother."
Step 3

🔑 Whose Is It? (The 's Case)

To say something belongs to a named person, add an apostrophe and an "s": name + 's.

The rule

  • Karim + 's + brother → "Karim's brother"
  • Yara + 's + mother → "Yara's mother"

Careful!

  • The apostrophe comes before the "s" — never after: "Karim's", not "Karims'".

🕵️ Whose Is This?

Pick the correctly written possessive.
