🧭 Go Straight And Turn Right!
The final task of the unit: getting around town! Today you will give directions (go straight · turn left · turn right · it's on your left), ask for help politely ("Excuse me, can you help me? I'm looking for the library."), ask "Which one?" and check that you understood: "OK. I go straight and then turn right." — "Correct!"
Lost In The New Neighborhood
Rayan is new in the neighborhood (Lesson 41). His mom asks him to buy bread. He goes into a small shop to ask for help.
🤔 Can you give directions from your house to your school?

🙋 Asking For Help And Clarifying
Use these expressions to ask someone for help in the street — and to ask which place a person means.
🙋 Asking for help
- Excuse me, can you help me?
- Pardon me, can you help me?
- Answer: Sure. How can I help you?
- I'm looking for the Star Restaurant.
- Polite thanks: Thank you very much!
❓ Clarifying with which
- A: Excuse me, I'm looking for the supermarket.
- B: Which supermarket are you looking for?
- A: Um, First Choice Supermarket. — B: Oh, yes! Well, first, you go…
- Shorter: A: I'm looking for the coffee shop. — B: Which one?
Safety first! When you are lost, ask a shopkeeper, a police officer or a family with children — inside a shop or in a busy place. Never get into a car or go somewhere with a stranger. Call your parents if you can!
✅ Confirming Directions
Repeat the directions you heard to check that you understood. The other person tells you if you are correct — or not!
✅ You understood
A: We're on Pine Street. Go straight, and then turn right.
B: OK. I go straight and then turn right.
A: Correct. / Yes, that's right.
🔁 You misunderstood
A: Go straight, and then turn right.
B: OK. I go straight and then turn left.
A: No. Go straight and turn right.
B: Oh, OK. I go straight and then turn right. — A: Correct.
